Charcoal and I are best mates, we have a solid understanding of one another and when we create artworks it just flows easily.
Charcoal, however, does change the way people interact and interpret the work. Because there is no colour, people have to work out how they feel about it. Colour can infer emotion.
One hour of drawing condensed to 1 minute. I actually felt like I was working at this speed for this entire drawing. There were 2 models on Zoom cycling through 3 poses each that were held for a 5-minute duration.
