This collection of drawings is inspired by spending three summers at the beach. The beach is a place to relax into the surroundings, shed clothes, inhibitions and pretensions.

The act of floating in the water, where the swimmer and water become one, encourages this state of mind, which is continued on land with the bodies melting into the shapes of the sand.

The line drawings provide cues for space, weight, shape and depth. The watercolour paintings exude a sense of the tranquility and lightness that is a summer holiday.
